ReentryWorks helping people find stability after prison

Yesterday, the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) hosted an open house event in downtown Louisville to highlight ReentryWorks, its partnership with KentuckianaWorks.

Ray Mansfield, Site Director of CEO’s Louisville Office, reported that 351 formerly incarcerated individuals have started transitional employment through the ReentryWorks program. 150 of those clients have been successfully connected to full-time employment, with an average wage of more than $16 per hour.

Since 2022, ReentryWorks has been supported by American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds awarded by Louisville Metro Government. The program connects clients to career training, supportive resources, and stable employment so that they can successfully integrate back into society after serving time in prison.

Community partners and local leaders in attendance also heard from former program participants. You can hear from one of them, Ross Mayne, in the video below.
